Notes for Charles Elmer MITCHELL
The whereabouts in Nebraska of Charles E. Mitchell were not known to his ad litem guardian and double uncle, Jeremiah Dugan, on 1 Feb 1890, when Jeremiah was discharged from his guardianship of the minor heirs of Mary(Alley) Mitchell, Charles's grandmother. Charles is almost surely the IN-born farmer of IN-born parents, Charles E. Mitchell, who had a large family (11 children) as listed in the censuses of 1910-1930 for Saratoga Twp., Holt Co., north central Nebraska. Holt Co. is about 125 miles northwest of Burt Co. where Charles and his father were living in 1885.
