Jonathan Prather II's daughter, Rachel, married James Dorsett, was very kind to her parents in their old age, and so Jonathan II left his wife and their daughter Rachael, all of his property, even his dwelling plantation, and cut off his 2 sons and his other 6 daughters with a shilling apiece.

Their grand-mother, Jane Smith, left all of her household goods to the two disinherited sons , Thomas and John, but so far no record is found of them or of their dwelling place after the bequeathing of Jonathan II's land to the Dorsett's.
