Notes for Amanda E. MITCHELL
Her son, Harry Nelis, is named her "only" child in her mother's estate-probate papers.
'Porter' Nelis's second wife was Amanda M. Alley, a first cousin of Amanda E. Mitchell. They were married 1877 in Decatur Co., Indiana, and had 11 children. She died 28 Nov 1928 and is buried in New Crown cem., Indianapolis.
