Notes for Lydia Ann MITCHELL
Notes made by George W. Mitchell (1877-1959) of Waldron, Shelby Co.,Indiana, say that "Liddie , Jennie and John Mitchell, children of Paul's brother of Kentucky, visited their [1st] cousin , Joseph Mitchell, in Noble Twp., Shelby Co., Indiana, in the 1880s." They were likely on their way to visit their sister, Louisa (Mrs. John Wesley Oliver), who was living in Fountain Co. , Indiana. Both Lydia 'Liddie' and Eliza Jane 'Jennie' later married and settled in that vicinity (Warren and Fountain Co's., Indiana).
