Notes for Thomas MALLORY
Thomas Mallory, son of Thomas and Elizabeth, was born 1605 (1). He married 1). Jane ---- who died 12 Feb 1638/9 at Northenden 2). Mary ------ 3). Frances ------ prior to 1643 (1). 15 Oct 1624 he matriculated from New College, Oxford (1). 1634/5 he was instituted to the Rectory at Northenden in Cheshire with his brother Richard (1). During the Civil War, he fled to the garrison of Withenshaw which was attacked and taken 25 Feb 1643/4 (1). He was later reinstated to his rectory (1). He died at Brindle and was buried near the Rectory of Eccleston 8 Sept 1671 (1).

The condition of the above obligation is surety that as a marriage is shortly intended to be solemnized between Jacob Shelton and Polly Tandy, daughter of John Tandy of the County of Gallatin, now if there is no lawful cause to prevent said marriage then the above obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force.
